OREGON TRAIL
APPALOOSA HORSE CLUB

Dedicated to the preservation and promotion
of the Appaloosa breed.

Welcome to OTAHC

Our club welcomes horse enthusiasts of all ages, regardless of where you live or what breed of horse you may own.

Our main goal is to educate the public about the versatile Appaloosa horse, and encourage fun participation with your horse.

OTAHC was organized in 1969 in Pendleton, OR with Dr. Frank Lieuallen presiding as our first club president and later moved to Hermiston, OR.
In 2008, the club became quite active in the Central Oregon area
and we are proud to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2019.

We are affiliated with the Appaloosa Horse Club Inc. (ApHC), the international breed registry for Appaloosa horses, headquartered in Moscow, Idaho.

OTAHC is honored and blessed not only by reaching a major milestone of our 50th Anniversary for a social riding club, but also to have our organization featured by the Appaloosa Horse Club in the June/July issue of the Appaloosa Journal. We want to thank our members who contributed information for the article, and especially thank both Lauren McCleary, in Regional Clubs and AJ Editor, Dana Russell, for their patience and assistance in making this article possible to recognize the tireless hours given by OTAHC members promoting the Appaloosa horse. A hard copy or online subscription to the Appaloosa Journal is available on their website.
